Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), batter, was seen working hard in the nets before the crucial game against Delhi Capitals. The former RCB skipper was seen hitting the big hits in nets. Kohli was seen performing a variety of cricketing shots including pull shots, flick shots, on-drive shots and backfoot punches.
Notably, RCB is all set to host DC (Faf du Plessis-led team) in just three days. The Faf du Plessis-led DC team will face DC on 15 April. However, the Southern Derby will be played at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on 17 April. To maintain momentum, RCB must win at least one of these games.
The tournament’s opening fixture has been a positive one for Kohli as the RCB batsman. Kohli won the match with an 82* run against Mumbai Indians, but the batter couldn’t convert a start against Kolkata Knight Riders. He was outed after an 18-ball 21.

RCB finds home ground less than ideal
The IPL has returned to its original format, where each team plays seven home and seven away matches. This allows for a balanced schedule and eliminates any advantage for any team. Although most franchises have benefited from this format, RCB has been negatively affected, particularly over the last few years. The pitch is generally flat, and the boundaries are smaller than usual. This has been a benefit for batters while the pump has been on for bowlers. RCB, despite scoring 212/2 in the match’s last match, lost the match.
This venue has seen a lot of RCB bowlers fail. Faf du Plessis and Co. will be watching closely to see how they recover from their defeat against Lucknow.
