83 is a sports drama movie that is based on Kapil Dev (Ranveer Singh), one of the most valued and popular player in the history of Indian cricket. The story plot is based on the historic win of India in the Cricket World Cup of 1983 under the Captaincy of Kapil Dev. Ranveer Singh is known to have received cricket training from Dev before the shooting started. The whole star cast was also trained in the camp at Dharamshala Stadium Himachal Pradesh, under the guidance of best former cricketers Balwinder Sandhu and Yashpal Sharma who were also a part of the 83 world cup winning squad.
