1. Tesla Model Y

This EV went on sale last year and became the hottest vehicle by Tesla. Customers flocked towards Model Y in the first half of the year and all other EVs by different automakers were eclipsed. In fact, the Model Y was close to beating Honda Pilot’s spot. 

This EV looks like a bloated version of Tesla Model 3. It is available in 3 rows having two tight seats. There is not much cargo area but the driving range is 326 miles. Even the standard trim offers 244 miles.

2. Tesla model 3

It’s been 3 years since the Model 3 was launched but it is still an unbeatable classic. Due to its affordability and top-level driving range, it has become a part of many homes.

3. Chevrolet Bolt EV

This redesigned EV and the latest EUV is a crossover. In the first half of this year, the sales have gone up 142% as opposed to last year when the automaker recorded very low sales. 

The Chevrolet Bolt offers 200 hp and an approximate 259 miles of driving range. In only half an hour, it can gain 100 miles worth of charging via the optional DC fast charging capability.

4. Ford Mustang Mach-E

This isn’t the first EV by Ford but it’s their first one to gain a massive following or to become a best-seller. This EV is available in different configurations such as All-Wheel and rear-wheel drive having 305 miles of driving range. 

It is styled like a Mustang and drives like it was constructed by true professionals. The Mach-E GT is it’s more sporty version which generates 480 hp and reaches 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.

5. Nissan Leaf

Although it’s not a very attractive EV in the market and has an unusual cabin layout, it’s cost is very close to the Chevrolet Bolt. However, unlike Bolt, Nissan Leaf offers 149 miles of driving range on the standard battery pack. 

But even with all these gaps, the Leaf has something unique. When it first launched in 2011 in the American market, it was included in the earliest EVs. With tiy, it has been improved.

6. Audi e-Tron and e-Tron Sportback

This Electric crossover comes with it’s stunning twin and they both were bought by 6,884 customers in the first half of the year. The true Audi luxury is embedded in the vehicles. It’s Electric package includes All-Wheel Drive and 2 motors and power output of 355 hp. 

It can even go to 402 horsepower. Driving range is 222 miles whereas the Sportback can go to 218 miles. Although the cost is high, it’s worth it because the cabin is graced with wood and leather.

7. Volkswagen ID.4 

This isn’t the first EV by the automaker aimed at the American market. However, the ID.4 has gained more popularity than the predecessors. In only a few days after the sale, it garnered the 11th spot on the best-selling vehicles. After a few months, this iconic electric crossover jumped ahead further on the list. The ID.4 offers a rear-wheel drive, 260 miles of range and 201 hp. With time, the vehicle will come with 302 hp and All-Wheel Drive.
