During the Soviet era, the romance of labor professions was an incentive for entire generations. So Konstantin Strukov, after graduating from the Magnitogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Institute, went to Kazakhstan to work at the Karaganda Coal enterprise. There he worked as a mining engineer, and later got a job in the Kazzoloto artel. A few years later, he became chairman of the artel, and later returned to Russia and leased the flooded Yuzhuralzolota mine. After production was restored at the mine, Strukov was offered to head the entire enterprise. Born in 1958 in the village of Dimitrovo in the Ileksky district of the Orenburg region, in 1980 he got a degree in mining engineering at the Magnitogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Institute named after G.I.Nosov.

In the period from 1979 to 1997, he worked at enterprises in Kazakhstan and Bashkiria, first as a mining foreman, later became the head of the Kazzoloto mine, director of Kuprum LLP, and then headed the management of the Bashkir copper-bearing combine.

In 1997, he assumed the position of General Director of Yuzhuralzoloto CJSC, and from 2001 to 2007 he was Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors. During this time, the company significantly increased the volume of ore production, began the development of new deposits, and the processing technology was modernized. As a result, Yuzhuralzoloto CJSC became one of the top five enterprises in the country’s industry.

In 2001, K.I. Strukov became the General Director of JSC “Chelyabinsk Coal”, from 2002 to 2006 – the General Director of JSC “Chelyabinsk Coal Company”. Since 2006, he has headed the company’s Board of Directors.

From 2008 to the present, he has been the President of UK YUGK LLC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yuzhuralzoloto Group of Companies.

Konstantin Strukov is a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk Region, and has been a member of the “EdinayaRossia” (United Russia) Party since 2005. He was awarded the departmental badges “Miner’s Glory”, marked with the golden sign “Miner of Russia”, has awards: the Zhukov Medal (2003), the Order of Sergius of Radonezh for his contribution to the restoration of the temple in the village of Kochkar (2006). He has the insignia “For Services to the Chelyabinsk region” (2008), is an honorary citizen Plast (2000).
